The end result is a 20-cm terrain model they&#8217;re touting as the best ever of the mountain, far more detailed than previous maps. Nolan outlines their endeavour in two blog posts: <a href=\"http:\/\/fairbanksfodar.com\/mapping-denali-sourdough-style\">one focusing on the personal<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/fairbanksfodar.com\/the-first-fodar-map-of-denali-alaska\">the other on the technical<\/a>; the latter also has lots of terrain models and comparisons with USGS data.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Best Map Ever Made of Denali\" width=\"760\" height=\"428\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6nt4A5gLufw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>He&#8217;s also running a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/denali-fodar-mapping\">crowdfunding campaign<\/a>\u00a0to underwrite the costs of additional map flights.
