That goes for <a href=\"http:\/\/ncc-ccn.gc.ca\/places-to-visit\/gatineau-park\">Gatineau Park<\/a>, where, despite the fact that its southeast corner is surrounded by the city of Gatineau, Quebec (across the river from Ottawa), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/ottawa\/hiking-gatineau-park-gps-cellphone-lost-1.4792260\">staff still recommend people use paper maps, CBC News reports<\/a>. It&#8217;s a big park, after all, and not all of it is in the city. But it&#8217;s not just about dead zones and dead batteries: out of date trail information and lack of trail difficulty are also problems. None of these problems, mind you, are unfixable (except, you know, dead batteries).<\/p>\n<p>The paper maps in question include general <a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ncc-ccn\/documents\/GP_Summer2018_FreeMap_LR_Web.pdf?mtime=20180501154147\">summer<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ncc-ccn\/documents\/GP_Winter2017-18_FreeMap.pdf?mtime=20171215153516\">winter<\/a> maps, along with trail maps for <a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ncc-ccn\/documents\/GP_SummerTrailMap_2017_LR.pdf?mtime=20170510114317\">summer<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ncc-ccn\/documents\/GP-Winter-Trail-Map-2017-2018.pdf?mtime=20171204073558\">winter<\/a> activities (all links to PDF files).
