There are also items that might be familiar even to those who aren\u2019t transit wonks, like the <em>New Yorker<\/em>\u2019s 2001 &#8216;New Yorkistan&#8217; cover by Rick Meyerowitz and Maira Kalman.&#8221; Vignelli&#8217;s famous 1972 subway map also makes an appearance.
