For example:<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Exhibition.<\/strong> Opening today at The Map House in London, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.themaphouse.com\/2019\/06\/04\/the-mapping-of-the-moon-1669-1969\/\"><strong><em>The Mapping of the Moon: 1669-1969<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, an exhibition of three centuries of lunar cartography. &#8220;The exhibition includes rare early 17th and 18th Century observations of the moon from astronomers such as Athanasius Kircher and Jean-Dominique Cassini, important maps produced by NASA for lunar exploration, globes and signed material by astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean and Jim Lovell.&#8221; Runs until 21 July. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artfixdaily.com\/artwire\/release\/4561-the-mapping-of-the-moon-1669-1969---this-london-summer-exhibition\"><em>ARTFIXDaily<\/em><\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Map.<\/strong> The July 2019 issue of <em>National Geographic<\/em> has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com\/magazine\/2019\/07\/new-phase-of-exploration\/\">a new map of the Moon<\/a> that updates the 1969 painted version (see above) with a mosaic based on Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter imagery. I don&#8217;t know whether that means a physical version of the map will be included with the issue as an insert, but I hope it does.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Way to Navigate.<\/strong> NASA has a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/nasa.tumblr.com\/post\/185388259129\/gps-coming-to-a-moon-near-you\">using GPS on the Moon<\/a>. Now, I&#8217;d thought that using GPS on another world would require the deployment of a GPS satellite constellation around said world. No, this is about using Earth-orbiting GPS signals for <em>lunar<\/em> navigation, which simulations suggest is possible.
