Times Also Maps Democratic Donors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2019\/08\/the-new-york-times-maps-democratic-donors\/\">Last week I pointed<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2019\/08\/02\/us\/politics\/2020-democratic-fundraising.html\">the <em>New York Times<\/em> map of Democratic donors<\/a>, which had some methodological limitations to it (it simply ranked the candidates by most donors on a per-county basis). On the other side of the country, the <em>Los Angeles Times<\/em> has dug even deeper, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/projects\/2020-democrat-la-county-donor-maps\/\">detailed maps of donations to the various Democratic presidential candidates\u2014but only for Los Angeles County<\/a>. They also have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/projects\/2020-democrat-campaign-donors-maps\/\">maps of national donations to the candidates<\/a>, of a similar scope to those of the <em>New York Times<\/em>: they both got access to the same data at the same time.
