Project director Matthew Edney gave the opening remarks, the text of which is <a href=\"https:\/\/geography.wisc.edu\/histcart\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HistoryofCartographyProject\/photos\/a.486151908062150\/2636863109657675\/\">Volume Four is in galleys<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/chicago\/H\/bo4149971.html\">is now scheduled for publication in January 2020<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HistoryofCartographyProject\/photos\/a.486151908062150\/2747440855266566\/\">work continues on Volume Five<\/a>.
