It\u2019s more an animated slideshow than interactive map: each step takes us along a route, bouncing up and down (for example) where you\u2019d expect to walk. It\u2019s also completely devoid of any context, particularly the controversies around this very map\u2019s design. People have been agitated about New York\u2019s subway map, and have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2019\/09\/the-new-york-subway-map-gets-more-rethinking\/\">reimagining and rethinking it<\/a>, for <em>decades<\/em>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Yes, I&#39;ve seen this NY Times subway infographic piece. It&#39;s&#8230; odd.
