{"id":1788140,"date":"2019-12-05T19:34:24","date_gmt":"2019-12-06T00:34:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/?p=1788140"},"modified":"2019-12-05T19:34:24","modified_gmt":"2019-12-06T00:34:24","slug":"mason-and-millers-third-act-map-dragons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2019\/12\/mason-and-millers-third-act-map-dragons\/","title":{"rendered":"Mason and Miller&#8217;s Third Act: Map Dragons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Betsy Mason and Greg Miller started blogging about maps at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2013\/08\/wired-map-lab\/\">Wired Map Lab<\/a> (which ran from 2013 to 2015), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2016\/05\/all-over-the-map-a-national-geographic-map-blog\/\">then moved to <em>National Geographic<\/em><\/a>, where their blog, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com\/culture\/all-over-the-map\/\">All Over the Map<\/a>, provided first-rate coverage of all matters cartographic, and formed the core of their book, coincidentally also called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/o\/ASIN\/1426219725\/maproom-20\"><em>All Over the Map<\/em><\/a>, which came out at the end of last year (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2018\/12\/all-over-the-map\/\">my review<\/a>). Unfortunately the blog seems to have come to a close at about the same time the book came out. But now it looks like Betsy and Greg have struck out on their own with a new website, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mapdragons.com\">Map Dragons<\/a><\/strong>, where <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mapdragons\/status\/1199445089963003904\">they promise<\/a> more map stories soon.
