Take nitrogen dioxide. <a href=\"https:\/\/earthobservatory.nasa.gov\/images\/146362\/airborne-nitrogen-dioxide-plummets-over-china\">Tropospheric NO<sub>2<\/sub> density decreased significantly over China<\/a> between January and February, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/climate-environment\/2020\/03\/13\/italy-emissions-coronavirus\/\">the same seems to be happening in northern Italy<\/a>, which normally has some of the most severe air pollution in Europe.
