A battery of non-destructive tests by Yale University, which holds the map in its Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, have been performed on the map, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yale.edu\/2021\/09\/01\/analysis-unlocks-secret-vinland-map-its-fake\">and the results of those tests have been announced<\/a>: the map is a fake.<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/news.yale.edu\/2021\/09\/01\/analysis-unlocks-secret-vinland-map-its-fake\"><p>\u201cThe Vinland Map is a fake,\u201d said Raymond Clemens, curator of early books and manuscripts at Yale\u2019s Beinecke Rare Book &amp; Manuscript Library, which houses the map. \u201cThere is no reasonable doubt here.
