\"France24France 24\u2019s interactive map<\/a> (right) covers both first and second rounds and shows results by region, department and commune. It is annoyingly unlabelled, which is a surprising choice for France\u2019s English-language news service. Le Monde<\/em>\u2019s map<\/a> uses a similar colour scheme\u2014yellow\/orange for Macron, grey\/brown for Le Pen\u2014but at least has mouseover labels.<\/p>\n

Le Parisien<\/em>\u2019s maps<\/a> aren\u2019t interactive, nor are they particularly large, but they illustrate other aspects of the results, like the abstentions, voter turnout and differences vs. the 2017 vote. The Guardian<\/em>\u2019s maps<\/a> are low on detail but provide similar information. Lib\u00e9ration<\/a><\/em>\u2019s map<\/a>, on the other hand, is a cluttered mess, showing each commune as a proportionally sized dot. [Maps Mania<\/a>]<\/p>\n
