Library of Congress.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On the Library of Congress\u2019s map blog, <em>World\u2019s Revealed<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.loc.gov\/maps\/2022\/04\/pictorial-st-louis-the-great-metropolis-of-the-mississippi-valley\/\">Julie Stoner takes a look at a rather unusual example of a bird\u2019s-eye (or panoramic) city map<\/a>. \u201cThe Geography and Map Division has over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/collections\/panoramic-maps\/about-this-collection\/\">1,700 of these beautiful panoramic maps in the collection<\/a>, but one item stands out above all the others as one of the crowning achievements of the art, Camille N. Dry\u2019s 1875 atlas, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/item\/rc01001392\/\"><em>Pictorial St. Louis; The Great Metropolis of the Mississippi Valley<\/em><\/a>.
