Eric Knight\u2019s amazing panoramic maps<\/a> aren\u2019t the mountain panoramas you\u2019re used to (if, that is, your point of reference is Berann<\/a> or Niehues<\/a>). Knight, who\u2019s produced detailed relief and panoramic maps for National Geographic<\/em> (see this page<\/a> for examples of his work) gives us maps of vast regions, viewed in some cases from such a height that the Earth\u2019s curvature is visible: see for example the Alps<\/a>, the Caucasus<\/a>, and Tien Shan<\/a> (above).
