Apple announced yesterday<\/a> that Apple Maps is now available on the web<\/a> as a public beta. Prior to this it was mostly available through its iOS, iPad and Mac apps, except that developers have been able to embed Apple\u2019s maps on their websites through the MapKit JS API<\/a> for several years now.
