Today marks the U.K. publication of two atlases in the\u00a0Times<\/em> atlas range: the eighth edition of the\u00a0Times Reference Atlas of the World<\/em><\/a><\/strong> and the seventh edition of the\u00a0Times Mini Atlas of the World<\/em><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Reference<\/em> is right in the middle of the Times<\/em> atlas<\/a> range: it’s inexpensive (\u00a330 list, compared to \u00a3150 for the\u00a0Comprehensive<\/em><\/a>, \u00a390 for the Concise<\/em><\/a> and \u00a350 for the\u00a0Universal<\/em><\/a>) and presumably a bit less unwieldy. The\u00a0Mini<\/em>, on the other hand, is positively dainty: at 15.1 \u00d7 10.6 cm, it’s smaller than a mass-market paperback! (Obviously the covers above are not to scale; see the somewhat-out-of-date comparison chart<\/a>\u00a0for the various atlas sizes.)<\/p>\n
