The map quickly went viral. Since then, he&#8217;s been producing maps of all sorts of things\u2014a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.halcyonmaps.com\/map-of-the-internet-2-0-2\/\">revised Internet map<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vox.com\/maps\/2015\/9\/25\/9397237\/literature-map\">literature map<\/a>, historical maps, maps of the world after <a href=\"http:\/\/www.halcyonmaps.com\/the-world-rising-sea-level\/\">global warming<\/a> and an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.halcyonmaps.com\/the-world-ice-age\/\">ice age<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.halcyonmaps.com\/the-world-stereotypes-2014\/\">stereotype map<\/a> (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maproomblog.com\/2015\/09\/atlas-of-stereotypes\/\">previous entry<\/a>), plus other infographics\u2014at a dizzying pace, most of which are available for sale on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.halcyonmaps.com\">his website<\/a>. Now his maps are being collected in a book, <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/a-fwd.com\/uk=thmaro-21&amp;ca=maproomca-20&amp;com=maproom-20&amp;asin-uk=071818114X&amp;asin-ca=006238922X&amp;asin-com=006238922X\">Vargic&#8217;s Miscellany of Curious Maps<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. It&#8217;s out now in the U.K. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.penguin.co.uk\/books\/vargics-miscellany-of-curious-maps\/9780718181147\/\">from Penguin imprint Michael Joseph<\/a>; in North America it&#8217;ll be available in December <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harpercollins.com\/9780062389220\/vargics-miscellany-of-curious-maps\">from HarperCollins<\/a>.
